How auctions work

From preview day to title in hand

Seven steps, same order every sale. If you have never bought at auction before, read this once and you will know exactly what happens.

  1. STEP 01

    Preview period

    Lots post with photos, VIN, mileage, and a condition report 72 hours ahead. On-site inspection runs the two days before each sale.

  2. STEP 02

    Registration

    Register online or at the office. Bring a valid driver license — we verify it before a bidder number is issued.

  3. STEP 03

    Deposit

    A $500 refundable bidder deposit activates your paddle. Unused deposits are returned within two business days.

  4. STEP 04

    Live bidding

    Lots run in order, in-lane and simulcast. A five-second anti-snipe extension applies to every online bid.

  5. STEP 05

    Winning bid

    The hammer price plus a 10% buyer premium forms your binding purchase contract. No cooling-off period.

  6. STEP 06

    24-hour payment

    Certified funds or approved financing due within 24 hours of the hammer. Storage fees begin after 48 hours.

  7. STEP 07

    Title transfer

    Missouri title work is processed in-house. Titles are mailed or handed over once funds clear.
