KC Auto & Rentals began the way most small Kansas City businesses do — with one vehicle, a hand-written maintenance log, and word of mouth moving faster than any ad ever could. Neighbors needed a car for a weekend. A cousin needed something reliable to get to a new job in Lee's Summit. The list kept growing.

Today the operation runs three ways out of the same Grandview lot: a rental fleet with transparent pricing and 200 miles per day included, a small retail line of sedans and crossovers that get serviced in-house before they are ever listed, and live vehicle auctions where fleet units and consignments cross the block in front of registered bidders.

What has not changed is who answers the phone. Jamari Cornelius is the owner and operator — the same person who inspects the cars, walks the lot with you, and calls the auctioneer. When something goes wrong, you are not routed through a queue; you are talking to the person responsible for fixing it.

We serve the whole metro, both sides of the state line: Grandview, Belton, Raytown, Independence, Overland Park, Olathe, KCK, and everything downtown and north of the river.
